A total of\u00a0 4,575 students had appeared from Dakshina Kannada,.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dsert.kar.nic.in\"><strong>www.dsert.kar.nic.in<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/p><p>These selected students have carved a name for themselves and for Mangalore by qualifying in the statewide NTSE examination.\u00a0 These <strong>ten<\/strong> successful students from Mangalore were trained at CFAL. These students will now appear for the final stage of NTSE that will be held on 8<sup>th<\/sup> May, 2016.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7afb2ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7afb2ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Department of State Education, research &amp; training (DSERT) conducts the first stage of NTSE.<\/p><p>National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is conducted by National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT), Government of India. The purpose of the exam is to identify outstanding students of 10th standard and help them get the best possible education in India. For this, NTSE scholars receive generous financial assistance from the government. Success in this examination is a great achievement.\u00a0 Every year 1000 students from all over the country get selected as National Talent Scholars and receive the scholarship.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c243d3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4c243d3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>NTSE examinations test analytical and logical skills. A good understanding of the subject is needed and rote learning or memorization will not yield results. \u00a0In earlier years, there were very few selections from Mangalore in NTSE. Since CFAL began instilling an interest in math and science in Mangalore, this number has increased over the years and currently, CFAL is breaking all records in the region.
