This year, a total of <strong>51,320<\/strong> students had appeared for the NTSE exam from Karnataka which was held on 17<sup>th<\/sup> November 2013 and only <strong>235<\/strong> students(0.5%) have been selected among them.\u00a0\u00a0 In Dakshina Kannada,\u00a0 1924 students had appeared and 20 students (1.1%) have been selected. In Mangalore, 646 students had appeared and 16 (2.5%) students have been selected. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dsert.kar.nic.in\"><strong>www.dsert.kar.nic.in<\/strong><\/a> The selected students have carved a name for themselves and to Mangalore in the <strong>state wide competitive examination. <\/strong>Eleven students among them were trained at CFAL. These successful students will now appear for the second stage of National talent search examination (NTSE) on 11<sup>th<\/sup> May 2014. Last year also, 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> ranks in Karnataka were cornered by CFAL students at the state level by Pulkit Sareen and Adarsh Somayaji\u00a0 respectively.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c077b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4c077b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>NTSE is a flagship activity of NCERT in the direction of nation building for identifying and assisting around 1000 most talented students studying in X standard from all over India, <strong>year after year <\/strong>and nurturing them through generous scholarships and opportunities. These successful students are also called <strong>NTS SCHOLARS<\/strong>. They will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.<strong>6,000<\/strong>\/-per annum from the succeeding year till they finish their Ph.d. NTSE scheme covers areas like sciences, social sciences, engineering, medicine, management and law. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncert.nic.in\"><strong>www.ncert.nic.in<\/strong><\/a><\/p><p>This is a very important scholarship examination for students which no student should miss.
