Success in the NTSE examination is a great achievement.  NTSE examinations test analytical and logical skills. A good understanding of the subject is needed and rote learning or memorization will not yield results.

These students have proven their caliber and brought glory to Mangalore by being amongst the only 66 selected students from Karnataka. A total of  922 students ( General category–777,  S.C-114, S.T. – 31 ) have been selected this year from the country at the nationwide competitive examination conducted by the National Council for Education and research, (NCERT) an institution, working in the direction of nation building.

These successful students are called NTS SCHOLARS. They will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.15,000/-per annum for 1st & 2nd PUC/XI & XII Std. ;  Rs. 24,000/- p.a. for under-graduation & post-graduation studies  and later according to the UGC rules until they finish their Ph.d.  NTSE scheme covers areas like sciences, social sciences, engineering, medicine, management and law.
