Abhishek Rathan Kumar, a student of II P.U.C at Canara P.U.C Kodialbail, Rakesh N. Rao a student of II P.U.C at Alloysius P.U.C, Karangalpady and Sudhanva Bhat student of II P.U.C at Sharada P.U.C Kodialbail have secured 107^th 286^th & 768^th positions respectively among the 854 students selected from all over the country under the SB+2 scheme. These students will receive a scholarship of Rs.64,000/- to Rs.1,08,000/- per annum until their Ph.d. Summer programs for the KVPY Fellows are organized in prestigious research and educational institutions in the country. 

In KVPY 2009-10, Gautham Rao and in the year 2010-11 Anirudh Raman and Sudhanva Kamath had secured these fellowships. All the these awardees were/have been undergoing the IIT-JEE/AIEEE Training at Manipal Career Excellence, Kuntikan, Mangalore.

KVPY is an ongoing program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, to encourage students of Basic sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up Research Careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.
