Manipal Career Excellence students excel in IIT-JEE 2011

8 students of MCE’s first batch of IIT- JEE training selected in IIT-JEE-2011

History is being made! For the first time ever, 8 students from Mangalore have been selected in the IIT-JEE examinations. These are students of MCE Kuntikan’s first batch of IIT-JEE training program.  Around 4.85 lakh students answered the IIT- JEE examination held on 10th April 2011 and competed for 9,600 seats in 15 premier institutions making it the most challenging engineering entrance examination in the country. Around 850 students appeared from the Mangalore centre which was held at NITK Suratkal.

The IIT’s are the most prestigious engineering institutions in India and are renowned throughout the world. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the entrance exam for the IIT’s and it tests candidate’s knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Admission is very competitive with the success rate being only around three percent.

MCE’s principal Mrs.Severine Rosario informed press persons that MCE had trained 30 students in its first batch and that the training was for 2 years consisting of 1400 hours of class room training, tests and mock exams. Experienced and dedicated professors mentor the students and the course material is unique- it has been tailor made for professional entrance exams including JEE, AIEEE, CET and BITSAT. Quality is the main focus at MCE- constant monitoring and individual attention to students has contributed to this phenomenal success.

Previous year’s selection in the region had been abysmal- there was a general opinion that getting into IIT was extremely difficult if not impossible and hence for engineering, AIEEE or CET was the only choice. MCE started the training with the aim of changing this and the results speak for themselves. This proves that we have very intelligent students in this region but there had been a lack of proper guidance and information. Now that MCE has overcome this void, students of this region can avail of quality education in Mangalore without having to relocate to distant places in order to qualify in competitive examinations.

MCE is located at Kuntikan junction in Mangalore and principal Mrs.Severine Rosario can be contacted at 2249220/9845737120.
